RCN- Norges Forskningsrad
The Research Council of Norway (RCN) promotes basic and applied research in all disciplines. RCN identifies target areas, allocates research funding and evaluates the research performed. It is a key advisory body for the authorities on questions involving research policy. The Research Council bears overall responsibility for national research strategy, and manages nearly one third of public‐sector research funding, in 2009 a budget of proximately NOK 7 billion (proximately 875 M €).
