Era-Net ANIHWA - Animal Health and Welfare

ANIHWA work package 4

Joint trans-national research calls

Work package 4 (WP4) aims to increase the efficiency and impact of European public research funding in the field of animal health and welfare.

It aims at implementing, evaluating and refining the cooperation mechanisms, thus contributing to the facilitation and consolidation of knowledge and know-how exchange, the sharing of resources and the coordination of national research programmes.

By stimulating the co-operation between national actors, fragmentation of funding in the research field will be further diminished.

Priority fields of common interest will be identified, integrating the efforts from WP2, WP3, and WP5, and suitable joint activities in these fields, such as joint calls, will be organized using methods and tool developed.

Based on the experience and achievements of the ERA-Net EMIDA, WP4 will develop and implement an operational, web-based platform for flexible funding of trans-national research activities. This platform will allow for broadening the network of national funding agencies as well as the promotion of multilateral common calls. Furthermore, WP4 will provide the required tools for proposal collection, evaluation and a uniform review.
